Week 2/52

Weekly snapshots of my girls and life in general in 2016

We went back to our routines, which surprisingly went smoothly despite two weeks of vacation. The toughest day last week was Monday when Chiara had a two-hour tennis clinic while Ines had dance. It was the kind of day that made me feel like a suburban Uber-driving mom, navigating frantically from one place to another while worrying about dinner and how the girls will get their homework done.

I must say that the best part of the weekend was catching the last day of the “Shape of Light” installation at the Newark Museum by artist Gabriel Dawe. The artist meticulously strung thousands of polyester strings in varying shades to project what seems like a color spectrum or rays of light. It was a sight to see and a great way to wrap up the first week of 2016!
