week 15/52

Weekly snapshots of family life in 2016

The weather in the East Coast has been a bit unpredictable lately. After seeing early spring blooms, we’ve had to deal with early winter temps again in the 40’s and mid-30’s this past week. Not really ideal spring weather and not something we’d expect after such a mild winter. But anyhow, life had to go on as we mustered our courage to go outdoors for the girls’ spring sports, walking Brady and such.

One event that I’m glad not to have gone to was the Red Bulls’ soccer game with the girls and Richard on Saturday night. The weather forecast said light snow but luckily that didn’t happen, just frigid temps. The girls were quite brave as they layered on sweaters, thermal leggings and socks for the outdoor game. I, on the other hand, got to stay home and hang out with Brady.

On Sunday, we were back to the spring sports as Ines ran in her first track meet for the year. Gotta give it to this girl as she organized a binder of her track records and times and assessed how she can get better. She did all by herself without any coaxing form us. What can I say, running is her thing…

Have a great week, everyone!
