Timeless DVF Wrap Dress

Watching Amy Adams wear various Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dresses in American Hustle inspired my post today. Did you also know that the infamous DVF wrap dress is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year? Yes, folks, it has been 40 years since the dress’ creation. It was so big in the 70s that even landed the cover of Newsweek in 1974.

I have always loved wrap dresses. To me, they are the epitome of an effortless and timeless feminine look. Sexy but not overtly provocative. Wrap dresses are also flattering to most women’s figure, skinny and curvaceous alike. They are extremely versatile, dress them up with a killer heels and a long fun necklace or dress them down with lower-heeled strappy sandals or flip flops.

To those who live in LA, you are fortunate to have the Wrap Dress exhibition, on display until May 1. What about you? Are wrap dresses also your thing?
