Spring Break in Arizona – Part 1

Finally, the girls’ Spring Break is here!  I was debating whether or not I should write a blog post during vacation.  I was not going to do one today but since everyone is still pretty jet lagged and asleep in our hotel room, I decided to take some time writing a post on Arizona, our Spring Break destination this year. Brace yourself as this post will most likely be one of many posts on our trip out here in the Southwest.

On our first full day here, we decided to go hiking at Camelback Mountain, which is only about half  hour from the hotel.  We were going to do the easy trail but that section was closed off.  There were fire trucks everywhere so there probably was a pretty bad accident on the trail. We had no choice but to do the intermediate/advanced trail, which Chiara and Ines did well despite the challenging rocky terrain.

After hiking, we went to Old Scottsdale, where we walked around a bit and had lunch. Our stroll was nice and leisurely and was capped off with a stop at Petersons, a renowned local ice cream shop. Tomorrow, we are off to a day trip in Sedona.
