We usually stop in Paris for a few days before we fly back to the US. One of the musts during our visit is to go to Chiara’s favorite Indian restaurant, Suraj, where she feasts on her fave Chicken Tandoori.
Another thing we try to do is to go to a museum and check out an exhibit that we think would be fun for us and the kids. This time we went to the Centre Pompidou in the Les Halles/Beaubourg district where they were showing a retrospective on Roy Lichtenstein’s work. I like his colorful works. I also like how he drew from the old and the new and how we can see advertising’s influence on his art, much like Claes Oldenburg who was recently featured at the MOMA. After all, this was during the ’60s when Mad Men types and Madison Avenue were such novelties.
