For those of you who are in the US, are you looking forward to Thanksgiving? I am. It is the first time in many years that we are not hosting. My cooking duties this year are limited to preparing dessert and sweet potato with marshmallows. I am thinking of making a pumpkin cheesecake and a fruit pie so not a lot of hard work.
I am also excited to see a really good friend and her family on Saturday. Given that our children are almost like cousins, we (the adults) will get enough time to catch up, sip some wine and relax while the children play together. It’s magical when things work out that way.
There is so much I am thankful for this year. When I think of the recent calamity in the Philippines and other misfortunes in the world, I count myself lucky and feel blessed. I am thankful that I was able to reconnect with a lot of friends from the past this year. As I get older, I realize that it gets harder to find true friends who will be in my life for years to come.
Have a great Thanksgiving, dear friends! What are you thankful for this year?
