The weather was indeed frightful in the Northeast over the weekend. Throughout Saturday, we had snow that later turned into ice. It was like a huge ice skating rink outside by the time Sunday morning came. Luckily, the temps went up on Sunday and we were able to get out of the house. We pretty much all needed that after being stuck indoors all day Saturday and suffering from major cabin fever.
What better way to deal with those winter blues than seeing a bit of Santa and participating in some holiday festivities. On Sunday morning, we went to see Santa at the Van Vleck House in Montclair. Chiara felt a little grown up for the arts and crafts activity being offered but Ines had fun creating her little reindeer pot. After seeing Santa, we went to Red Eye Grill in Montclair for some yummy food. Ha, what a little outing like this can do to boost our winter blues (though officially, winter has not officially arrived yet)! Hope you had a lovely weekend!
