Weekly snapshots of my girls and life in general in 2016
I want time to stand still. I don’t know if it’s the fact that we did not get much snow this winter that I feel the whole season just flew. Yesterday, people started posting on Facebook about Daylight Savings Time, and while I look forward to the longer days of spring and summer, I just want to hit the pause button and take time to take it all in, to breathe it all in. The girls are growing way too fast, Chiara is only a few inches shorter than I am and Ines isn’t too far behind.
This weekend, we went to the Catskills to ski and get away one last time before Brady, our puppy, comes home with us next week. Ines was happy to discover more advanced ski slopes while poor Chiara played a good sport even though she was feeling under the weather. Going to the Catskills twice a year is something we’ve done since the girls were little and has now become one of our many traditions. Over the years, we’ve since the area changed, too. From the rather rundown area we found it 12 years ago, the Catskills is now teeming with urbanites, Brooklyn transplants and New Jerseyans on weekends and summer holidays.
Hope you had a good weekend!
