Weekly snapshots of my girls and life in general in 2016
Two things we did this weekend — crafting and crêpes-indulging. It has been a long time since the girls have done any crafting at home. Most of their time away from school has been taken up by their activities, seeing friends and playing with their devices. So I was glad that a little trip to Michael’s can unleash some of their creativity. Ines did her ode to Valentine’s Day while Chiara got inspired by a few DIY tutorials on You-Tube that she has watched. With an old pasta box and plastic spoon and fork boxes that was covered in wrapping paper, Miss C was able to create a rather nifty pen and post-it holder. She also made her own calendar with a mini-chalkboard and some heavy-stock paper.
Then on Sunday, we celebrated the French tradition of La Chandeleur, which is marked by feasting on a lot of crêpes. We’re glad to share this wonderful tradition with some of the younger members of our family. I must say these two little cuties really really did enjoy their first crêpes, devouring every single bit and sometimes even clamoring for more.
Have a great week!
