Week 32/52

Week 32/52

Weekly snapshots of family life in 2016

This past week has all been about spending time at home and enjoying simple pleasures. There were lots of playtime with Brady in the backyard as well as sprucing up our long-neglected outdoor space. In the past, we’ve always come back late August right before the girls go back to school so we never really got to spend much time outdoors in our house here in the US.  Now that we’re back a bit early, we decided to make the most of the space we’ve got.

We were all pretty lazy last week, just really staying local and not doing much. The girls went to camp in the mornings with last week’s focus on entrepreneurship, Shark Tank style.  It was a great crash course on product development, advertising and finance.   While I don’t know if either one of my girls would go into marketing or business ownership, I still thought the morning camp gave their days of structure without compromising the possibility of doing something fun later in the day with their friends.  This week, they will be doing fashion design, so we’ll see how that one  goes.

I’ve also been toying with the idea of posting twice a week again.  With the nice weather, I just find it hard to make myself stay in front of the computer and write.  I feel like August will go quickly and before you know it, September will be here and I’ll be back rushing around, trying to get everything done.  We’ll see, maybe I’ll feel a lit bit more motivated this week.

In the meantime, I wish you all a great week…

  1. I feel just like you, I want to soak in all the beauty and warmth of August.
Richard doesn’t look too reassured ;o)

    • That’s funny what you say about Richard…it’s his melancholic French look:-)
