New York’s Taste of France
We went to the Taste of France event this past Saturday at Bryant Park. The event was designed to promote business and commerce in France as well as with French companies operating in the United States. Taste of France was a pretty big deal in the New York French community with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Laurent Fabius and Ségolène Royal in attendance at the event’s kick-off.

Despite knowing that the event may be very crowded, we decided to go to support my husband’s business. His company had a booth where people could sample the food that his firm imports from France — goodies such as macarons, brioches and escargots. My oldest, Chiara, wanted to help out and work at the booth but it was too fast-paced. We decided to meet up with a dear friend and her cute little guy here instead. It was a nice reprieve from the crowd…plus, the place has one of the best pain perdu or french toast in town!
