High Line and the Magnificent Autumn
We’ve been quite lucky so far this fall with the weather we’ve been having, with lots of days in the 60s and 70s. It’s hard to believe that we’re almost halfway through November and the trees have not lost all of their leaves yet. I think knowing that winter and frigid temps are just right around the corner make this unseasonably warm autumn even more special. We just want make the most of or time outdoors, getting another walk or hike in, eating outdoors while we still can.
While I took the photos of the High Line in the city when the girls went back to school in September, I cannot imagine much has changed since then given the weather. Maybe there are more wilted plants and fallen leaves by now but I’d imagine that this urban oasis is still crowded as ever.
How is your fall so far? Are you gearing up for the coming holiday season? It’s only a few weeks away. I’m beginning to be giddy with excitement but scared at the same time. Time’s just slipping out of my hands. The girls are growing, I’m getting old, and while there’s much to look forward to in the future, I know these moments with the girls are slowly becoming limited.
