Happy Mother’s Day to All You Lovely Mamas
Looking forward to this weekend. My poor husband, not only will we be celebrating Mother’s Day this weekend but he and I will also be marking our 18th wedding anniversary on Sunday. Yup, double whammy. Oh well, it’s not like this type of coincidence happens everyday. The weather is supposed to be around 80 degrees on Sunday so I am quite sure I’ll be enjoying whatever it is we end up doing.
I want to wish all of you lovely mamas out there a Happy Mother’s Day. Even if you’re not a mother but you’re some sort of nurturer or caregiver, this day is also for you.
So here’s a passage on motherhood that I found beautiful and relevant for the occasion:
“Sometimes when you pick up your child you can feel the map of your own bones beneath your hands, or smell the scent of your skin in the nape of his neck. This is the most extraordinary thing about motherhood – finding a piece of yourself separate and apart that all the same you could not live without.”

Have a lovely weekend!
