Daytrippin’ at Storm King

Daytrippin’ at Storm King

I am glad that we finally made a day trip to visit Storm King in the Hudson Valley. It has been on my list forever as one of those places I wanted to go with the whole family. I thought the wide open space and modern sculptures would be something Richard and the girls would love.

Storm King has wonderful collection of works from renowned artist, such as Alexander Calder, Isamu Noguchi and Louise Bourgeois and Maya Lin. There is also a current exhibit from Chinese artist Zhang Huan that features sculptural works with focus on traditional Chinese themes but with a contemporary and edgier twist.

With all the lush landscape surrounding Storm King, I am sure it would be even lovelier to visit in the fall when the leaves are staring to change colors. How I wish to go back in October!
